Hello everyone,
I spend the last few days writing a more intelligent php editor, called PhPScilla, and while it sure doesn't have the mass of features Max' HTML Beauty has, it has some very interesting ones for php coders.

It is designed to make my life easier by providing me with lot's of information I'd otherwise had to look up.
(Quick Example: you move the cursor over 'print('. PhPscilla displays the manual page for print()...)

So, if you would like to give Beta 3 a try, visit
its website ;-)

So long,
Comments Welcome,
Bug reports as well,
Tyberius Prime

i started. clicked on options-parse manual or so. then waited 5 mins. then clicked on ok. waited 5 more mins.
then it took me 5 more mins to figure out, that i have to write print( and not print" to see that feature.

besides that i like it! nice app. make it a sourceforge project!

glad you like it Grumble.

and now... open one of your larger projects. Just any php file...
if your includes are not too hairy, it should be able to parse them as well and display them in the treeview...
(note: It tries hard to find the included files... but it can work no magic/really intepret your php code )
oh, and move the cursor to a call of one of your functions ;-)

btw, sometimes I get the feeling some of you're living right here in the asylum, checking every post that walks in the door...

excellent. I'm midly suprised that it works with the spanish version, but then, there is no reason it shouldn't ;-).

all feedback is much appreciated, espcecially if anyone has an idea what to do with the empty space below the 'all brackets are matching'...

so long,

TP: Its coming along nicely - its the kind of trimmed down coding editor that suits the way I do things with enough features to make my life easier. I would start things off with the coding window at the top and let people adjust things from there. Other than that it looks good - I would like to see a way to access the manual as well as via the functions.

Anyway good stuff - if I think of anything else I'll throw it in here or via ICQ

Nice start!
I really like how it parses in the includes into the tree view.
One thing I'd like first of all is to be able to resize each "window" in relation to each other, that'd take care of some of the empty space a bit better.
Another thing might be to open an internal browser in preview mode that you can point to your local dev-enviroment.
I'll try it out some more and get back.

hm. Preview is definatly planned and will come together with an automatic ftp upload functionallity. (and If I happen to be the only one using the ftp function, then it may it be ;-) )

Next major feature: inclusion of html help....
you guys should expect a new version later today, or maybe tomorrow afternoon...
(I'll post a new topic then)
