Hi guys, long time no speak, I've not been around for a while because my computer went boom about 6 months ago and I couldn't afford a new one till now.

Some time last year someone in here told me a neat trick about using Internet Explorer? to print a directory listing because there is no print option within windows explorer.

I thought you had to drag the folder into the IE window and the you had the print option available from therem but when I try it the normal IE window seems to turn into the windows explorer window and then my print option has gone.

Can someone help, it's really buggin me

PS glad to be back,I've enjoyed checking out whats been happening in here over the past week since I got another 'puter

I remember the trick. From an Asylumite called Cold_Canuck. Matter of fact, he's from Michigan.

Just drag-n-drop the dir from File Explorer into IE. You can print from there, or save the HTML for editing then printing.

edit: Wait a minute. Something is wrong. They must have changed it.

Sounds like you are going to have to use Dos. Something like:
c:\dir c:\whatever > lpt1:
or
c:\dir c:\whatever > c:\temp\dir.txt

maybe maX got it if yer xp
