nevertheless, this is kinda ironic! hehe.

Well at school we have a account on a net mounted drive and it always show that the max capacity twice that we have.
Well windows sucks! nothing new!

That effect may be related to the minimal cluster size of the file system in use.

I have had some similar errors in my Windows and I found out that the faulty program was Norton Utilities and its extended recycle bin features. So, I never used it again.

Well, I wouldn't say that that's a problem with Windows, because it just displayed information provided by Samba that's running under your Linux server...
