This is a cool idea

It's trying to create a new font set designed by ...well everyone!

IT will give you an unfinished pixel graph of a picture and you decide whether the spot should be black or white.

I can't find a place to download the font set but it's a neat idea

That is cool, especially the animations. What's most interesting is that it doesn't appear the letters are ever going to take an "accepted" shape--there will always be someone coming in and putting a black pixel smack dab in the middle of the "O."

And I suppose where you put your black pixels says something about you, too.

[Edit: After further thought (and watching more animations), I think another reason why a single, accepted shape will never be reached is that people have different ideas about what letters and numbers should look like. Some people like serifs, some people don't, etc. If you watch enough of the animations, you'll see that in most of them they take a recognizable shape about halfway through, then disintegrate and start moving toward a different shape. Very interesting. More of a psychological experiment than a typographic experiment.]
