Ok folks! I created this so that people could comment, etc on our running RPG game. Tiki 8or V) will be posting our 'game progress' after every gaming session...and here is the place to comment on it, etc. Please do not post in the RPG - Starting a new campaign threads unless you are playing...post here, instead.

Maybe it's just me, but I would imagine that the rest of the Asylum couldn't give a flying rat turd about our campaign...

I guess we'll find out.

If it's flying, it probably is not a rat turd, but maybe a bat turd...

Actually I'm kinda interested in seeing what happens.

I'll keep the journals coming after each session. When we have gotten further into the campaign I might rewrite it into more of a story as well. As it is now it isn't written as good as I feel it can be...

For those of you who want to read the log it is at http://www.p-design.net/dnd/session01/ . Just remeber that your character doesn't know everything

Well, that was another succesful day yesterday. We finally got into the temple, and started scouting. The biggest triumph of hte day was to get a minatures and map working. BTW: Hats off to Ven, who has created a great looking map for a us to play on, reminds me of the Super Nintendo version of Zelda. Our characters still ahve some issues to resolve, including differences in ethics, Gods, languages and eating habits. The journal will hopefully be up soon, and then you can look at our valiant struggle to get all of our minatures working.

Yup. It was a great 'experience' for us all...

Getting the map to work was great...and the test combat after the session went well...until that darned orc barbarian came along...

Combat is great! I killed two orcs, before going down...hehe...

Probably. But you're missing the point, my beefy friend. With my spells and your 30-pound device of pain, we might have given him a run for his money...

Then again, maybe not. I wouldn't really know since I wasn't there...

Hmm... I haven't checked out the log yet (in my haste to leave, I forgot to save the log... again). Does it have the battle in it, too? Better check that out.

[Edit: No battle... sigh. I guess it was just the official campaign log...

Hey V, not that it makes much of a difference, but I could've sworn those were silver pieces... ]

mas: the campaign is set on hold until December 16th because tiki and ws are out exploring the real world. In the time between we could play, just not on the campaign. If we decide to do this, feel free to join the fun

On another note *bump!*

Who would like to go with 50 x 100 graphics? Master Suho found out that OpenRPG supports full .PNG support...and that got me thinking...mins with 50 x 50 are really small for detail...but 50 x 100 is much better. However, the concerns of the map do come to mind...any opinions on this? With 50 x 100 and with full .PNG support, one could make nice mins...there are some even available in the OpenRPG archives, that are 50 x 100...and they look great! See here for examples...

While I agree that 50x100 mins would definitely look better, that would require a 100x100 grid--and if we used a grid that big I'd be forced to shrink it back down so I could see what was going on.

I'll be honest with you: while it would be nice to have nice-looking mins, I'll be happy as long as everyone can figure out who is who. I wouldn't even object to simply using colored dots. Takes away a bit of the fun, yes, but it's really just a minor detail.

Then again, if everyone wants to go with 50x100 mins, that's cool too. I'll just shrink everything back down again.
