Ok...Short scenario: My brother has a PS2 and Metal Gear Solid 2. I downloaded a PS2 emulator, and am trying to burn an image of the game onto my hard drive as an ISO. Nero isn't recongnzing my DVD-R/RW Drive with MGS2 in it, and when it does (it did once) I can't figure out how to burn the image onto my hard drive. Could somebody please enlighten me on this? |

Suprisingly, this doesn't violate copyright...if you own the game you are legally allowed to have an emulator and use the CD to play the game on your PC, at least that's always been my understanding of the way emulators work (legally that is). |

Yeah, the copyright part of that is legit if you own the original cd. |

Lacuna: Thanks, that did work...Or should I say, It would of worked. Your instructions worked great, but then I realized that I didn't have enough space on my HD for a 5gig rip. Argh! See, I only have a 10gig (10,000rpm) SCSI drive and a 20gig IDE drive. |

I think they use DVDs.. so you'd need a DVD burner, and blank DVDs. (Which hold much more information than CDs) |

actually, i'm not sure as i've never burned anything that was that big. like dan said, use dvd's maybe? if you go to the link i provided earlier, you should be able to ask around there and they should be able to give you more help then i am able to provide. |

Yup...You need a DVD...Recently, I've been using a DVD-R/RW at my Dad's work, but can't burn any of my ISO's that I've made, because it's a goverment computer. I'd wait though before going out and spending a good $300 on a DVD burner because there is no standard format, it seems as if -R is winning, but +R is gaining a lot of popularity. I've never used +R, but I've heard that they burn slower than a -R. Of course, this is of no consequence to me, but some people like to spend a bajillion dollars on the highest end drive. |

This is certainly at the limit of what we allow here and i'm minded to shut this down. I don't really know enough about the specifics to call this one. |
