My links in my top (or any) layer wont work on macs with ie 4.5 ! It works great with ie4.0 and netscap4.0 on Pc ...<P>Is this a bug or just a mac_ie problem ?<P>(Do i have to write seperate code for mac's ?)<P>Erlend Bratlie |

Do please post that URL, but even without knowing the exact nature of the problem, I'll go out on a link and say yes, it's a bug in IE4.5 for the Mac. The sheer number of things it *won't* do properly is staggering, enough so that many developers just trap it out completely, with a page saying something like "Sorry, we just can't support that browser." <P>It *can* be made to work with a bunch of hassles though. My front page works now in IE4.5, though what a headache! I found that hiding a layer and then making it visible would make the links unresponsive, hrmph. No sense to that at all! Finally I made my links on blank GIF images, floated them over the top of everything, and made them always "visible". (They're blank, remember!) Feh, hrmph, and c*****n, whatta pain!<P>-doc- |
