is it common knowledge that if you name a div with an underscore ("_") in it, netscape doesn't seem to recognise the layer at all, and doesn't position it using the "#what_ever" style definition...?

well, this is what i found when several of my layers were not being positioned in netscape. anybody know a good reason why netscape would introduce this limition?

Simple way to fix that. Don't use _

Probably for the same reason it doesn't recognize exact frame dimensions. Or the same reason it doesn't read the scripts on a page when the browser is resized. Or the same reason it doesn't support cool things like the "hover" designation. Or any other number of things that they didn't seem to think about <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

if you've installed netscape 6 beta, first thing you'll notice is that the "HOVER" designation is live and kicking...
