i posted a message in the Asylum awile ago looking for good beginners
tutorials on DHTML. I read them and now understand more fully what
DHTML is, a combination of Javascript and CSS style sheets.
I still am having trouble doing it myself since my experience with JS
is limited to cutting n pasting free scripts.
I have a site I just redesigned, http://www.thesexxxhouse.com ,
yeah it's an adult site so if you have anything against sexual imagery
please don't go. Anyways I wanted to Jazz up the page by having
the three jpg pics of the girls spin around the middle of the page
and then drop back into their original places on the page.
Any ideas where I can find the DHTML code to do accomplish this effect?
Also, on the pages I've seen with animation like this I've looked at the
source code and it is HUGE! How does alot of DHTML code affect the
download speed of a page..........somewhat slower or ALOT slower?

thanks

Tommy

ps somebody told me that DreamWeaver and AdobeGoLive can do WYSIWYG DHTML? I use DreamWeaver a bit but have never explored
that feature. Dont even know where to find it.

Big scripts don't affect the download time that much. That's the beauty of client-side browsing!
The idea is that you supply the code in simple 8-bit ascii, but once that has been downloaded, it's up to the web-surfer's computer/browser to calculate any animation and whatever else. Even a slow connection s

With the kind of site that you're designing, I don't think you should worry about how much time it takes to download the code! JPEG files take up far more space!
