Its me again! By now, (thanks to YOUR HELP), I've learnt how to cut up my images, both manually and automatically, but one question that came to mind last night whilst lying in bed sadly enough. .

If I place the sliced up image in a table (eg an interface on the left of the screen), I will not be able to place the main body of my page direcly to the right of it, will I?
(I am assuming that you HAVE to put the image back together using a table?)

Is the only way around this to do the page in frames? because I had heard that using frames confuses some search engines so I've been trying to avoid using frames.

Are NESTED TABLES any use in this problem? (I don't really know what that involves but its a term I have heard)

Please help me because I'm feeling a little disalusioned after I have spent all that time learning how to cut up the images and make cool rollovers

Whoops ! Sorry, just realized that my previous question should have been posted somewhere other than the photoshop forum. Sorry, You seem to be a forgiving bunch so I'll leave it here if you don't mind.

I don't have a real clear picture of what you're trying to accomplish, but there really isn't much a table can't help you with. I gather your fancy sliced image is to be contained in the left half of the screen, and the right is text? A nested table is just this: one cell of a table would contain another table. And maybe one cell of *that* table would contain another table.... So in you instance, really simply, sounds like you want a 1 row 2 column table that manages both parts: column 1 holds the table that keeps the image slices together, and column 2 hold the html text. Does that make sense? I'd hand code tis table, 'cause it's so simple.

There are advantages and disadvantages to frames. If all you are concerned about is keeping a graphics table contained, I'd stick with tables.

Oh trixter, the thoughts that can devil us as we wait for sleep.....
