Preserved Topic: Layers with IE (Page 1 of 1)

How do i go about making layers that have scroll bars but where i can cutomise the bars with pictures and such. i am very new to DHTML and would like to learn. Is there any sample scripts out there so I can start to understand how to do this.

Im not sure if you were asking just about the scroll bars or the layers too. Theres a few examples of the scrolling script around this forum. Goto search and look for scroll or something. Its not that hard to understand. If you have any experience programming you should understand it fairly well. Id give you the code from my site using the scroll but its too confusing and it doesnt work in NN. Anyway the layers are easy to make too. I suggest checking out javagoodies.com or other dHTML sites for more examples.

If you're new to DHTML, then I wouldn't recommend starting with the scrollbars, personally. Do simpler things, like moving text and images, and learn how to interact with the mouse and stuff. The DHTML scrollbars require a lot of different things put together.
