Does anyone know if there is a DHTML menu (similar to CoolMenu3) that allows a background image to be placed below regular text? In CoolMenus, I see that you can set an Image as the mouseover, or you can set a background color, but I want to just have a background that shows up under each text entry I make. Follow me?

Personally, I didn't see such ready-made HTML menus script (that allows background images), so I can only suggest you to try to modify CoolMenus by yourself?

Thanks Max... I figured it would come to that ... I suppose it wouldn't be that hard.. I'll give it a shot!

Just to put you on the right track,

Most of bratta's scripts are designed to be kinda "plugged" into a page and used by anyone. The reason he doens't support images is because the script can be of many varying sizes and is dynamic in its creation.

Anyway look for where he sets the table background color variable. Then see where he uses that variable in the script.

Also look for where he sizes his tables.

Hmmm, I don't think this supports images, but check out dHTML lab's HierMenus script. So much time has been put into this that it almost seems silly to write your own... I'm sure it can be hacked to put background pictures.

I have tried that webreference menu. I don't like it much because when you put your mouse goes off the menu, it doesn't go away. You have to click somewhere to get the menu to go away.... annoying
