I'm opening a new window like this:

window.open(locname, 'second','width=800,height=600,menubar=yes,toolbar=yes,locationbar=yes,resizable=yes');

Everythings fine, except the bars. On PC (NN4.x and IE5.5) the menu- and the toolbar are shown, on Mac (same Browsers) only the toolbar is shown. The locationbar does never appear. Ahhhhh!

Anyone any idea why? And how I will get it working? I tried without parameters, but then the second window has the same size as the parent - but it should be smaller.

You probably have the word wrong. Maybe it's just "location" instead of "locationbar". I'm not sure.

Yep - that's it. "location=yes" or "location=1", or "location", or just omit that altogether, because it is shown by default.

Hmm, but pugzly, if it's shown by default, and she's failing to specify it correctly, why isn't it there?

Yippieh! Yes, location is the right word. The locationbar is shown now. Thanks! The documentation I used, says 'locationbar' - grrrrrr. It also says, 'no' is the default. Hm.

I dunno, Slime. I tested it without the parameter, and it was there.

Good question....

Maybe, if its not specified, it takes on the same value assigned to "menubar" or something like that.

That could be. I'm working on a newer version of the window.open creator tool. I'll research that...
