Now in IE6, there's a new onmousewheel event, neat, huh?

Yeah, that's just great! Incourage people to support specific hardware event handlers that may or may not ever be triggered. pft!

Heh, sorry Dracusis =) I just finished implementing this in my soon-to-be front page (similar to my *current* front page http://www.karl.nu:4080/slime/ )

I really should invest in one of those silly weel thingies. My only fear it that I'll like it too much, as I often user many different PC's at different locations. If I become accustomed to it, I'm likely to get narky at any PC without one..... eh... spose it couldn't hurt too much.

Dracusis, you should get a mouse with at least two wheels and at least five buttons, heh...

Not sure what you are talking about on the event, I have a wheel on my mouse and I also have IE6, but what is diffrent from IE5.5? Can I see a demo of this? My mouse wheel has been scrolling my pages since IE4.

*EDIT* Does it scroll the page sideways or something?

This doesn't have anything to do with page scrolling. IE6 allows us (web developers) to know when you use your mouse whell and we can respond to the change in position (i.e. we can implement mouse whell support in DHTML windows)...

~slam~ hay yeah.... I never really thought about it like that....

two weels and five buttons? Having only two buttons is confusing enough, hell, I don't know how I ever manage to use the keyboard, there's just soo many keys. Staring at all those keys just makes you want to bash them likekm jhk vac,aj and skdlfjxkjzmm, zskzx,>ASZW cxv THAT

HEH COOL... OOPS that's better.. umm...
