Preserved Topic: Cross-Browser Text Ticker/Scroller? (Page 1 of 1)

I'm in need of a cross-browser (JavaScript 1.0-1.1) text ticker/scroller for a project at work. I need it to be form-free (no text fields or the like) and with the ability to change the background color. I'd use the IE marquee tag, since it affords me these things... but the lack of Netscape functionality isn't so good.
