I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this like on this website : http://www.theschick.com where the box pops up in it's own separate window. And no it's not a normal javascript pop-up, i think.

and hi, i'm new by the way.

Ugh, the chromeless popup window.

Don't use it. Use the regular javascript popup, if you use any popup at all. There's no reason for anyone to have that much control over a window. People browse to see your page, not to see how much you can take over the look and feel of their operating system. It's a neat trick, but a completely unecessary and pretty annoying one. Use your resources to make an artistic page.

Besides, it only works in IE on Windows.

ahhh good point, i had no idea it affected that way. okay so if i use a pop up, i have another question.

When i try to use frames within a pop up all the frames get scrunched up and scroll on me. I have tried the "no scrolling" option and the "no resize" but I still get the same thing. How do I build a pop-up using frames?

Ugh i hate confusion!

Show us an example of what you've been working on and we can assist.

I've used frames in popups for slideshows, and didn't have a problem.

BTW the chromeless thing, is kinda cool. (I think) and somewhat valid since it will work "most" of the time however it takes a lot of code. You must replace any of the functions of a normal window (closing, moving minimizing etc) yourself. As well as make sure everything works for peeps using other browsers.

Your frames thing should be fine though.

Well like on my old site: http://www.adaline.net/index2.html (even though it isn't a pop-up, and don't comment on the design, i was just beginning then ) when you minimize the screen, the frames get all screwy and hides half my graphic. I've looked at others with frames and they appear not to have this problem.
