I'm tinkering with web creation. I used image ready to slice up a graphic interface for my web page. I made one of the slices a link. This is where it gets shady for me. I want another page on my sight to hold the pictures or files or what ever I put on it. So, made another .html document. The problem is, it doesn't seem to work. It just opens up explorer again on the same web page. If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, or if you need a better explanation, plz post.

need more info. can you post a link?

ok, some basics in the meantime though...

the image that is a link needs to point to the html file you created:

<a href="your_new_html_file.html">your text or image for the link</a>

make sure it specifies your new html file, and not the current one.

Woops i should of had a link up in the first place, this way you can look at the Image ready code. here is the sight

I guess I also need to know how to stop IE from opening up another explorer window to post the link (i tried changing the link around, now it just opens up another explorer window, with a messed up looking picture of my interface...

well DL-44, thanks a ton for answering my post. I deleated the Image ready code, typed in the template you showed me, and guess what, it worked. That helps me understand html just a bit more, thanks a lot.

go here: http://www.gurusnetwork.com/basicinfo/ for some good links for HTML basics.

If you plan to do *anything* on the web, you'll need to get to know html and CSS.
There is an Intro to CSS tutorial in the works at the Gurus Network...should be pretty handy.

oh, and um.......cactus......I'm sure you had a point, but uh....yeah. whatever. carry on.
