The entries of the 256B.htm contest round 2 are available @ http://www.wildmag.de/compo.php .
Some of these scripts might please the DHTML/FLASH/VML/SVG freaks hanging around.

Hey poi. I'm wondering if your "bricks" one counts. Since each time you click it rewrites the image tag you are technically downloading a new image each time so it quickly exceeds 256k.

Nah, the browser should cache the image. Doesn't count for more bandwidth, I don't think.

The clouds one nearly froze my browser while downloading though.

bitdamaged: The limit was 256 bytes, and the size of each file is counted only one time.

Slime: I'm terribly sorry about that. Indeed I also did a "slow cpu" version in 286bytes which generates EXACTLY the same images as the "compo version". Since Clouds is not the only entry to badly hurts some cpu I'd like to see some alternate links to see the entries in good conditions ( maybe bigger file size, but NO enhancements )

The alternate link of Clouds is at http://www.p01.org/contest3.htm . Hope this version wouldn't hurt your cpu.

[edit] BTW, considering the extreme size limit, I recommend to set your temporary internet parameters to automatically check for some update [/edit]

Cheers,

Mathieu "POÏ" HENRI
