Preserved Topic: simple question

I´ve done something with my settings for the marquee tool. Everytime i try to mark something, it is like select>feather has a high value. The edges get very rounded.
And if I press delete, it deletes with fade...

I cant find the setting to change this back. I want straight edges.

please help me

just double click in your marquee tool, then in the info box that jumps to the front, input "0" ]
Alternitavely, delete your PS settings before you start the program..........................
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 5.5\Adobe Photoshop 5.5 Settings\Adobe Photoshop 5.5 Prefs.psp.....

I believe what r@m says could be the same thing, but just go to window>show options when you have the marquee selected you can set feathering to whatever.

Did you check the Options tab when you had the marque tool selected? Cause there is an option for automatic feathering.
