I used to use one a while ago and it never really worked right. I had an idea for a neato sig of Jestah written in cool steal(not crap steel) laying on a bed of grass but my grass just looks crappy. Does anyone have a good way of making grass or point me in the right direction? |

| Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Long Island, NY | posted 08-19-2000 18:50 Thanks a lot Dan. That wasnt really what I was looking for. The tutorial I found a while ago was fairly similar to that but it just doesnt look real enuff. I want you guys to think about mowing your monitors when you see the grass in my sig, and thats just not going to do it. Maybe Ill just find a picture of grass and use that... Thanks a lot Dan. |

| Bipolar (III) Mad Scientist From: Camillus, NY, USA | posted 08-19-2000 19:53 That grass would make a good slime texture for slimy interfaces. |
| Paranoid (IV) Mad Scientist From: Calgary, Alberta, Canada | posted 08-19-2000 20:20 Wow, that site appears to be mondo old. Like, some of the tuts are from 1995, and they're apparently version 3.. |
| Bipolar (III) Mad Scientist From: Camillus, NY, USA | posted 08-20-2000 17:37 I've been trying for grass myself...the closest I've gotten was astro-turf with a lot of black space. |
| Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Long Island, NY | posted 08-20-2000 18:32 Nintendo grass? I was thinking more along the lines of Atari grass .... |

| Bipolar (III) Mad Scientist From: Camillus, NY, USA | posted 08-22-2000 03:59 That's like...perfect, wes. it would be better at a little lower brightness and something done to it so it would look like it's being blown by wind...it looks like really short synthetic grass under spotlight and super closeup. |

| Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: my mother | posted 08-23-2000 03:47 this isn't for photoshop, but there is this progy call Jasc Pro or something, and it has a built in "grass maker" photo quality. I star school tommorow, so I'll double check the name. If you want, I could just make a large pic of the grass and put it on a floppy, bring it home, and post it. lemme know if you want it. also, how long you want the grass? |
| Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: 100101010011 <-- right about here | posted 08-23-2000 18:26 Ummm. not to be simplistic or anything but is there a reason you can't just use a real picture of grass? |
| Paranoid (IV) Mad Scientist From: Inside THE BOX | posted 08-23-2000 19:46 OK, it was easier than I thought. Here's what I had written down: |
| Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: :morF | posted 08-25-2000 16:04 Whilst everyone has been going off like a frog in a sock with all these different ways of doing it...has anyone thought of getting a digital photo of REAL gras, and then using hte distort filter and some airbrishing to bend any blades you need to bend? |

| Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Long Island, NY | posted 08-26-2000 06:40 Lol yeah I agree with Wes, the reason why I dont just take my digital camera and take a picture of the grass is because I would rather do it on my own. I guess I just get the satisfaction of doing it on my own sometimes. |
