A buddy of mine seems to have some artistic skills, and he asked me to color some of his pictures in photoshop. Just wonder what the rest of the world thinks of these pictures

Who said he was a close friend? <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/rolleyes.gif">
But really I'm fairly new to photo shop basicly teaching myself. What i'm doing to color them is using the pen tool to outline and then using the variations thing to color it. If anyone can give me some suggestions on something better to do, i'll give them a try.

Sorry that came off crude, I was only joking. For being fairly new you did pretty good.

Def Jam:
That's done in Photoshop? I really like the pencil crayon looking grain to it..nice texture.

I've had to colour my own comics before, so I slapped up a really quick (and shoddy at times..heh) tutorial on colouring in PS. Luckily I left it up for some other site that references it.

The Dyn Project should take you through the basic ideas, and then, if you're still curious, we can talk about using the Dodge and Burn tools to work things a bit farther.

Actually I was just using the dodge and burn method today to create "The Finger" for Mikey Milker, our resident board asshole.

heh

Anyway..I hope it helps.
