Is there a way to define shortcuts and assigning them to f-buttons? |

The only thing I can think of is Actions. Just record an action real quick and assign the key to it. For example, let's say you want to assign Image > Adjust > Equalize to F5. Hit Record, do the menu thing for Equalize, stop recording, then Action Options in the Action palette to assign it to F5. |

Yah, used to be on older versions of Mac you could go into ResEdit and adjust the quick-keys on the different functions, I used to use it all the time to change things to my preferences. After v.4 you couldn't do this, so I set different F... keys as actions to do things that used to have quick-keys, like Adjust/Brightness Contrast, which used to be control B, and now ain't nothing! FYI, you don't need to actually record the action like that, you can select something like "Insert Menu Item", and it will make it appear. Fill in only part and away you go. (FWIW, my F1=Gaussian Blur, and my F2=Brightness/Contrast) YMMV. HARGDN,YH? (GLTA!) |
