Preserved Topic: .PDF file image placement

My client created a .PDF with all of their company's info about a product and they want me to place an image of that product on one of the pages. Is there a way to insert that image onto the page they want it on? When I 'import image' it puts the image on a new page all by itself. Has anyone else had to do this?

If you are talking about importing the graphic to the PDF
document while in Acrobat 4, it is best to do this from within the origonal authoring application
whether it be Adobe PageMaker, Quark or whathave you,
make the necessary changes and then regenerate the PDF.

Depending on what authoring app you are using... to place a graphic
on the page you want, usually requires a selecton for you to paste the graphic into, like an picture box etc... keep it selected and go to file
Place, choose your image, or if it is copied to the clipboard just paste it to the selected box.(If the image is too large to fit on the page with text, it may automatically place it on another page in order for it to fit.) The image will then be pasted into that box and can be resized
and positioned.

Regenerate the PDF.===>Export PDF

You will then have to go into Adobe Acrobat 4 to make changes to your
bookmarks and other preferences for the final PDF.

My client created the .PDF in MS Publisher....I've opened the .PDF in Illustrator and fortunately the client used Times new Roman so Illustrator correctly matched the fonts so that they are editable. I think I'm close to fixing it the way I needed to fix it....I'll post again when I get it dialed in....

In Illustrator you can print to .PDF but it's imperative to uncheck 'bitmap printing'....that's what kept screwing up the fonts for me...

ummm... Boudga, did I miss something here? I thought you were
trying to import an image into a PDF?

We deal with pdf's all the time. Many ad agencies now send us ad mats via BBS saving postage and shipping time.

any pdf's i need in a graphic format i either export to file type (ie. tiff, eps...etc) or i open photoshop and then open the pdf file, flatten layers, crop if i need to and save in the file format i am needing.
