hi everyone, ive been on this board a long long time, i make good use of the search tool(eplains why this is first message). here is some back ground; new to photoshop okay i dont understand channels much, and i found out that channels are explained in Doc ozone, the basics of photoshop tutorial. ive been to the hands on sight, but i cant find it. could i get a link and some info on channels plz? |

I live in the states, and I say colour. I also say honour. Sometimes I even say cheque or theatre. Does anybody remember centimetres? |

warjournal, i did your little comment, i used an airbrush to make some doodles, then i went to the red channel and make some more. i bet u dont understand how well that opened up my understanding of channels. im wondering if your a teacher or something hehe. i used a shade of grey in the red channel and the color ended up a light blue, im wondering how that would happen i was thinking it would be pink. |

LOL Actually, I was going for the you-can-only-paint-on-opaque-pixels-when-painting-in-a-channel thing. Which is something that I've learned to take advantage of, especially when doing a complex D-Map. |

WJ, that is neat, but for it to work in PS6, you have to use a transparent bg. With a black bg, the grey on the red channel paints a tighter red line everywhere. |
