Why can't you put a transparent layer on top of the text?

Well, if you mean having like an alpha mapped transparency for a layer in flash then your right you cant.

Best I could suggest without seeing what you have so far:

Take the tube layer from ps that has the background of the tube, without the highlights from the glass etc (I'm assuming the tube is glass) and put that into flash on it's own layer.

Go back to ps and get the layer with the highlights and foreground and make it a gif with the correct transparencies. Take this into flash and put it on it's own layer but put it on top of the other layer.

Now, you may want to convert that bitmap to vector and play around with the soften fill edges and alpha levels untill you get a nice effect. Just use the program help if you can't find what I'm talking about.

Now all you have to do is put the text with your name on it in between those two layers and animate it anyway which way you want.

That what you were asking?

That make sence?

Eh, I ain't re-typing nothing!

You're incorrect on that note. You can save as a .png (which preserves transparency) and import into flash.

Yeah yeah, I know you can use PNG files in flash, found that out today....... So shoot me for not reading the help file correctly.
