Preserved Topic: Texture Tuts?

Anyone know some good tutorial sites that show you the basics of making textures like grass, wood, bricks, dirt, mud, tiles, pretty much nature and metropolis type textures, please post a website where i can find tutorials on this type of stuff, thanks.

Actually, the easiest and most authentic way, to make these textures would be to take actual pictures of grass, bricks, etc. and then use that to make a repeating pattern.

Conversely, there are lots of tuts you can look up on making textures if you do a search on google. Also, I'm sure someone else will post with a link to some tuts.
