I dunno... you might want to try lighting effects on a yellowish-brown canvas after running noise on it....

...I dunno, but I know that if you want to add text you should use the Papyrus font...

just my .02 cents...

Ignatious : With a little airbrushing for curls, and maybe some stains, that would be real nice.
You`ve got a great start on the color fade. Burn those edges a bit, and soften the texture some, and it`s grand.

Thanks Bob, though I hadn't actually planned on finishing it. Parchment just sounded like fun

I was just waiting for Nano-Mite to say whether or not it was the type of parchment he was talking about.

However I'll go ahead anyway:

Create a yellowish box. I like to use two slightly different shades of yellow and render>clouds. It gives a slightly more random appearence.

Now create a quick mask and in the quick mask use Filter>Pixelate>Crystalize. This creates the ragged adges.

For the hole in the bottom right corner just drag polygonal lasso to create the desired shape and erase that area.

Now use Filter>Texture>Texurizer with sandstone to create the...big surpise...texture.

Now go crazy with the burn tool around the edges until they look suitably dark

After that do what Bob suggested , and good fonts really help.

Now that you mention it, I couldn't have made a better Pringles texture if I tried.
