What do you think of this? Its obviously not perfect so I would appreciate comments/ideas on how to complete the "illusion". |

You`ve got some stuff in there overlapping so I`m not sure which is supposed to be prominent. It seems to me, the spider *under* the glass should only be seen distorted. It looks like the overlapping (really dark brown) part should not be there at all... looks like a different bug. |

Heh your right Bob. 3 bugs actually. I know how to remove one of em but I can't thnk of a method to distort the spider below the bead...displace...yeah but how? I somehow have to run displace on the left half of the spider below the bead, but Im not sure this can be done using masks only. |

When you make your displace map, select the sphere, inverse the selection, and fill with 50% grey. The displace will have 0 effect on the grey. |
