Preserved Topic: Airbrushing

This is my first airbrushing, and I used NO filters, you should all be happy about that. Ummm tips would be helpful as this is my first time. I know that the outline of the hand is ugly, but I didnt do it I just used one on a airbrushing tutorial to use as a base. I cant really seem to draw a good hand with a mouse, its too awkward to use and it ends up looking childish or cartoony. So I need a Wacom... anyone want to give me one?? Anyways tips, criticisms etc. There is probably something wrong with a lot of it but I thought it was pretty good for a first try.

ever consider using a 'path' to create the outline? Might work better than mouse. Just a thought

Either that or lower the Spacing on the brush. That's about it from me.

The gaps where the fingers cross and the edges bother me.

The key to *mouse painting* is practice. The first pencil you had in your hand felt awkward and the results thereof prolly looked childish and cartoony, too. Practice.

My suggestion for this is take what you have, and look at your hand. Add what you see to the image.
Work on blending colors. Even under a bright light, the highlights on your hand are not that bright, or the darks that intense. Add as much of the detail you see as you are comfortable with. Then touch it up a bit.
