Hi? does anyone have some tips on how to minimize moiré? I am having a terrible time removing/minimizing the pattern on brick buildings. I have to work with the images that were provided to me and unfortunately, there is no way to rescan them. Any suggestions on how to eliminate this problem will be so appreciated.

Thanks in advance?

Kai had a real good one, too, but I can`t find it. Check the GN for updates.

Without rescanning, the best I can tell you is to use gaussian blur at a low setting and then unsharp mask to bring the picture back into focus. You lose some of the quality, but it sure looks better than that damn pattern.

I started this type of discussion quite a while back and it might help you to read what was said then: http://www.ozoneasylum.com/Archives/Archive-000004/HTML/20011010-3-001628.html

Color or B/W image??

There are some strategies using LAB if it's color. B/W doesn't leave much in the way of options.

I've heard you can get some decent results twiddling with the dust and scratches filter as well.
