Preserved Topic: Cleaning a sketch

I have sketch that I'm going to put on a poster.
It is not me who have sketched it.
I'm just going to clean it and maybe color it.
It is pretty rough so bear with me while I clean it with your'e guidence

So far it looks like this.

I have never cleaned a sketch before so I just played with levels to get rid of the most of smudge.
I think that I have to start over becuase I have totally screwed up the perspective.

The little pile of gravel in front of the tire wasn't intenionally. I tried to clean the tire and when i was done
it looked distored and weird. And it looked like it was an invisible pile of gravel in front of the bus
just like i had braked hard. So I just sketched a pile of gravel in front of it . I'm planing to add skid-marks and make the gravel follow the tire on the sides.

I know you wanted comments on how to clean up the sketch but I think I should point out a flaw in it before you go any further.

Using the perspective line given by the front lower edge of the bus I should be able to see a least a little bit of the left hand front weel.

I once asked something similar, and received an excellent response from the asylum. I'm going to search archives now for the thread. When I find it, I will come back and add the link here.

Well its a sloppy sketch... So maybe anyone could tell me how to find the center line of the wheels. And please answer the other questions too becuase its my 600 th post.

This is about as clean as I could get it .
Just in case it`s what you wanted, it went like this:
Duplicate layer 1 ( right click>>diplicate layer), change new layer to multiply
SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+N to create new layer
SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+E to merge visible
CTRL+A ( select all) CTRL+C ( copy) Go to channels pallette, New channel, CTRL+V ( paste)
Image>>adjust>>levels settings of 140, 1, 233 were used , but play with it.
A few touch ups with the paintbrush, CTRL+click new channel, (make new selection) back to layers pallette
Type D ( default colors) Create new layer, CTRL+delete,
SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+I ( inverse selection ) ALT+delete
CTRL+D ( deselect )

Step 1:

Make your sketch clean to start with.

All sarcasm aside, there really is only so much that can be done to clean it up afterward, and most methods have consequences and limitations.

Clean it up on paper. Then bring it to Photoshop (very old axiom: garbage in/garbage out).

{edit - as for the wheel? Well...follow you perspective line over and....there's the other wheel }

Just follow the same line as the front bumper......should be the same unless U took to many pills and wrecked the bus.
