I have what may turn out to be a stupid and/or obvious question. Does anyone know how to specify percentage settings in an action (specifically in my case for guides). I wanted to make an action that created guides in the center of any document I created/opened automatically. I recorded an action where I created a new guide and set it to 50% horiz and then a new guide at 50% vert. When I look at the action though, it's listed in pixels. If I try to use the action on a different sized document the guides appear off center (obviously). What I need to figure out is if it's possible to force the action to use percentages. Along those lines also, are there any ways to build actions aside from recording or "insert action" in palate? |

I think the problem is, the use of new guide, Try draging the guides from the rule instead, This seems to work just fine for me in Photoshop 7 under windows. |

Right on. I tried creating the guides like you said. Switching the rulers to percentage units seems to force the action to record percentages. It doesn't seem to matter what your rulers are in when you play the action as long as you recorded it in percentages. |
