Looks nice man. I'm not really a fan of anything with a white backround for the most part.... but this looks good. It's clean and pretty crisp.

Although... should the picture in the upper left corner be more legible?

time to start my site slamming session... heh heh heh.
i really dont mind that homepage look at all... loads fast enough, and i really like the "Atlanta Locals" font.
one thing that is bugging me is on the right of the announcements, instead of going straight from white to black, there are a few messy lines, im in netscape, so i dunno if that matters.
hey... im in IE now, that's a little nicer...
oooh! random images! now that's cool!
i know its nothing too fancy, but a really nice touch.
ok, one fault ive found is that its hard to remember where you are - there's no "F.A.Q" title on the page, and the 'button' that youve selected isnt a different color.
if i could suggest dimming whatever page you are on at the moment, that would be nice.
that calendar is really neat stuff, axe, the only comment i have there is that when i see the green text, im thinking it should do something.
like link to tell you more info about the movie night, or give a little discription in the 'tool tip'.
hmmm..... broadcasting addresses on the internet, interesting.
i thought you would make that sort of info members only...
oooh! icky! that's a REAL no-no!
i click on the 'contact us' button, and i see that it is trying to open my (not set up) mail client, and i scream.
make it open up a new page, like most people do, saying "here is our phone number, here is our address, or you can click on the shiny spinning '@' logo to mail us!"
that way they can make a conscious decision to mail you.
or, if you cant handle that, dont write over the status bar message, so they can see that they are clicking on a "mailto:" button, not a "http:" one.
ok, other than that, this is a REALLY nice site, that is very cleanly set out, and i like it a lot.
it even looks hand coded! fantastic!
im really impressed.
just fix the netscape table conflict and that would be great.

Other than what bunchapix covers there, that's downright usable and well designed. Good job

Cool! Thanks, guys.

Taxon: Thanks for the posotive remarks. As for the picture in the upper left, a couple of them (it's a random image) are the best I could find, until I can get out downtown and take a couple pictures myself.

The Netscape problem doesn't surprise me... Although I have never seen it, since all I have is Netscape 6.0, and it loads up fine in there. Maybe a little more of a description as to what is going on will help me track it down. Great idea on shading the current location button. And I will do something along that vein.

The calendar events do usually go to some sort of link. Although, when an event has passed, it doesn't. Or if the event is too far in the future it doesn't.

Where did you see an address broadcast? As far as I could tell, it wasn't possible for non-members to see that info. Please let me know a little more detail...

The contact page is being built as I type this. It's gonna have a few options, and wasn't done in time for this critique. But it will be form-based, and not the way it is now. This was a temporary thing that lasted a little longer...

It should look hand coded, because it is... <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

Thanks again, guys...

It would also be nice, Random Axe, if the table would fit my screen regardless of my window size.

*psssst* axe, its in the poll section...
doesnt assoc. names with addresses... so it aint THAT bad, but still...
um, i suggest you get a copy of NS 4.7, its still a *realatively* popular browser, and althuogh your code is real clean, i think you should still make sure you are catering for it.
ok, i had a quick look at your code to see what the problem could be, and my guess is in one of your last lines of code, you have a <tr></tr>.
im not too sure, but i know netscape dont like it when you have empty table components, when a cell is empty it collapses it.
another problem i think it may have is sometimes you have to be more specific in netscape about cell components (eg alignment, colspan etc), but that one im really not sure about.
i hope that helps!

Thanks again, guys...

Bunchapixels, those addresses are for locations of a brand of restaurant here in Atlanta. No personal information is given out, it's just the address so that people could vote where to get-together every two weeks... <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif"> Thanks for noticing, though.

I will find a copy of Netscape 4.7... I probably have one on this never-ending source of directories I call a hard drive. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

Also, I will take out that table row. It must have slipped my attention when I went over the code. Again, thanks for noticing... <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">
