Yes, it's been like that for a couple of months already. I agree. Leave it as it is, don't take the whole content down. The same thing with K10K and many others.

Yeah, but sometimes you have to do something to show your frustration, rather than just letting the site go "stale".

Though if this bitching "community" of people really wanted the site Up, I'm sure someone could get in contact with Alex, buy the domain from him, pay for the hosting, and keep track of the site, but still give Alex all the credit for building it.

But then, I suppose that would require dedication, and an understanding of doing something instead of whining. That's in rare supply at times.

I'd say try this: Write Alex...say thank you....then go away. Maybe if he sees actual appreciation he might not feel like a chump, pandering to a bunch of whiny sycophants who decide that HIS content isn't HIS.

Selfish Bastard!

I've gotten tired of all my work before, sometimes for months at a shot, but it's always been easier to just leave things sit, a static archive, off to other more fun things for a while! I can only guess at the kind of abuse or shite he might have dealt with, must have been something extreme to drive him to such lengths. A shame, really. If you truly miss the place, write him a nice note at the very least! Nice notes are... nice.
