LOL Capitalism at it's finest....No?

Well somebody's going to get hung out to dry and I guess you can really only *hope* it's those responsible but I'm bettin' on scapegoats. How about you?

Scapegoats? Well, one has already committed suicide. I wonder if they will try to pin the whole thing on him and call it good. There's quite a bit of finger pointing in the president's direction. Maybe they'll go after him and his -- I'm sure some people already are in a big way.

One thing I find disturbing is that people (media) are getting suspicious of companies that show only profit. I'm not a regular reader, but I've read a few things along those lines at Make Them Accountable. I've seen a few other such accusations here and there.

Did they do something illegal?
Probably, and if they didn't, than the laws chould be changed so that whatever they did doesn't happen again. But honestly, there are a lot of companies that cheat here and there..

Nobody was complaining when Enron was making peopel money.

No law can prevent someone from breaking it. The best you can do is punish *after* the law is broken. From everything I've seen so far, the Bush administration did the right thing by refusing to bail out these criminals before they went under.

I have no doubt several of the top Enron officials are going to see some jail time as they should!
