I have been told that I will be responsible for all of the server side stuff--code and hardware. I know that the server that I will be using has IIS 4.0 installed...but that is all I know. I have a few questions. 1)What server side code will work on this...I am going to have to learn 1 (at least), I might as well make it good. ASP is applicable, are there any others that will work? What is 'better'? ...easier to learn? 2)What should I know about databases before I choose? Again, I know that Access will work, but are there 'better' options? Is there a significant difference? 3)What other things should I ask, find, know before I embark on this journey? Are there hardware things I should know? Anything else at all? 4) Got any good web sites that will make me a server expert in about an hour? Ok, maybe not an hour...a couple of days? Basically I don't even know that I know all of the right questions to ask...I'm a bit overwhelmed. I have never ever before worked on the server side of anything.... Thank you mobrul

Paints you in a bit of a corner though considering it really isn't used off of IIS. I run IIS on Win2K at home and use PHP off a mySQL db with no problems, it's nice because I can move my scripts to *nix platforms with ease. Personally ASP And PHP are probably just as easy to learn with PHP being cross-platform. You also can use both with no problems that I am aware of. anyway if you are starting from scratch I'd just pick one and go with it Walking the Earth like Kane

Yar ASP is the default and not horrible.
