Iv heard a lot about the 20 liners, a competition held on ozone a while back. That was before my time, and I was just wondering if there was a chance of having another round of it. I have no idea how the original worked (judging, what defined a "line" etc), but I was wondering if anyone would like another? |

Just as a hint, you can use [ page ID ] to quickly insert a link to any page here, so [ 18451 ] without the brackets automatically becomes Return of the mighty 20 liners.. |

Yeah, that's understandable - just leaving hints here and there so people get familiar with the new possibilities.... =) |

I suggest that, rather than a line system, we do it by the file size, the the5k.org, but not 5k, and only DHTML. |

I'm glad it wouldn't be a contest, because I'm sure I would get spanked by most everyone here. But that has never stopped me before..... You can count me in for the next 20 liner. |

I agree with Ini, I think it should be on a certain theme. How about it has to have something to do with producing/creating graphics. Though I reckon, since its not actually a contest, we should go with the most free set of constraints - 20 lines again (also because Iv been thinking about what I'm going to do if its 20 lines ) |

wrayal: I'm no authority but I'm ok. To clarify and announce the thing, we should probably follow the path of the sig contests and create 2 threads called : |

yep, I think the two rules I mentioned in my first post are the most basic and easier to understand. It's certainly worth showing a code snippet in the threads announcing the April Javascript Contest to illustrate them and eventually a counter example of the 2nd rule. Indeed, as a monthly contest ( that time frame is wide enough to let several people work on an entry ), the deadline should be the last day of the month. |
