Topic: My new neighbors (Page 1 of 1)

A family of Robins made a nest in my backyard that's about 6 feet off the ground. I took a few pics of the eggs and once they hatch I'm going to try to take a few photos every week just to see the kids grow.

Yep, Robins eggs are a light blue color. Definitely makes them easy to identify.

editing posts no workie? Anyhow, wanted to say the pictures are actually awesome, made me feels all spring time. And I've seen that exact cat-like egg defending posture before, recognized it immediately, weird cuz I dun really remember, but I do. Like a certain smell that brings back a certain memory that you can't quite put your finger on.

That's because those kind of shots are supposed to be through your blinds, not theirs

You gotta move fast to get pics of baby robins... they grow up and get shoved out of the nest amazingly quickly - a matter of a week or 2...

We had a nest last spring in a red-tip bush outside our living room window - about 10 feet from where our couch was. We could just look up and watch the little buggers... it was all very cute and sweet...

The cats really enjoyed the view too!
