And no matter how much you guys seem to stress the fact that it doesn't matter, it still makes people happy to get to 1000 posts, or 2000, or 500, or whatever. Even getting to just 100. This gives people an incentive to post more when they would perhaps not be as active. And even though it seems like you guys think this is perhaps stupid or immature, it is a fact of nature that people are driven by goals, and I see no real reason to get rid of it.
