There really is nothing more to debate to me though, as I said again and again, I am ok with Mad scis watching each other. Let me repeat it just in case: I AM OK WITH MAD SCIS WATCHING EACH OTHER. Now, about examples of overreaction, do I want to make it personal? Well, you asked a question... let's give it an answer: many mods explicitely asked the Doc to remove my privileges at some point in the past. Not that I give a damn, I gave reasons to some of these people to be pissed off: reasons as clear as insults. There was bad stuff going on in my life, and I sure did my share of stupid actions to have the local crowd bounce back at me they way they did. I hope to give them reasons to reconsider the value of my input here, but I sure won't lose sleep over their opinion. This said, some people showed an idiocy at least as intense, if not worse than mine at that moment: I had 18 years old Mad Scis close and delete my threads as I posted them, wether they contained profanity or flowers, I had some people feel empowered to the extent of waving their "friendship with Kevin" as a threat before me: "I'll ask him to ban you and he will". ...looking back now, that material got what it deserved: deletion. But the positive input I brought, from 20 liners contest to many answers about coding questions, code samples, etc. are still here. My point being, again: we all are human and therefore prone to make mistakes. Some do know how to think twice, and more, before acting, some don't. And I sure am capable of fast-stupid reactions myself, but I certainly am not the only one. To quote spiderman, "A great power implies great responsibilities". Doc Ozone has the inner class not to abuse such powers, the inner class to let the idiot speak idiocy, it's part of what makes him unique. How many of us can compare? And therefore, how many of us would be able to use real longer fingers wisely? All legit questions, imho, which have been adressed already: it WAS the point of this thread. Now, since the discussion is still going on, I'm ready to face reactions, but I have this feeling the thread served it's purpose. [/end of rant] Loading...
