No chance of having a contact box so people can email someone from the forum (its what all forums use when they hide the email address and makes a lot of sense)? I can see the communications breaking down a tad without it.

Well... making that spam proof isn't an easy task (spammers could sign up with a fake email, and use that to spam...). But it is an interesting idea, and I see a way to make it work.

Any vetos?

Here ist one solution for blocking spammers.

TP: You could implement some kind of flood control which would surely not make it worth anyone using it to spam a board. Its pretty common in most other foum scripts and I've not heard many stories of abuse.

indeed - that's what I had mind: flood control + requiring to login + overall flood control + the ability to set the sender to the inmate doing the sending.
and no email address on the page at all. that`ll work.
