Spelling! Spelling! In all of the language classes I have ever taken spelling was a key element, you misspell a work and you lose full credit. It made us realize there is a big difference between works like "form" and "from" the former is a noun which means shape and structure, while the later is a preposition used to indicate a specific place. You want to use "from" which would indicate the the art produced by you.

Also I have move this post to its correct forum, because artistic discussions should be dealt with in their respective forum. I felt that photoshop would be the closes thing, to what might suit your needs.

As for your work of art. You might think about using a specific vanishing point. Start out by placing your vanishing point and then making all of your lines strait and moving towards the vanishing point. I have placed what I think an approximation of where your vanishing point would be and some lines that you would follow when making the vanishing point on top of your image.

Once you have made your lines strait come back repost your image and I will give you further review.

If you want any sort of critique, you will need to do a whole lot more than this.

This is the equivalent of scribbling a couple notes on a paper and asking for a critique of your "essay".

Please be kind. This sort of comment is not needed. We especially don't need to delete a thread based on an opinion. This thread has a number of redeming values. The first is a sketch, the second is a slight discussion on perspective by your truely followed by an example. The third is further constructive critism by DL and then to tack on even more value we have moderate humar by Skaarjj. I don't think you could ask for much more out of a thread, and I personally think we need more threads like this.

indeed. I like what you have made out of it. Once zigot has grasped this concept, we might see if we can pull out doc's 'more than one vanishing point' images...

I kind of take offense to that Arthurio. I have a 5 year old son that draws. It is all art. It is what the person who holds the pen sees.

Zigot needs to work on his perspective. http://www.geocities.com/~jlhagan/K9-14/introduction.htm Try this site to help on perspective.

I always find it ironic when someone says 'no offense' before they say something that they know is going to offend. If you don't want to cause offense, then don't say anything offensive.

No offense, but it seems that Zigot_Bahn absolutely don't care about what we think of his "art form". At least the insights given here could be useful to somebody else ... who knows. And to ruin the irony of my "no offense" statement, I'd say that I know for sure that a 7yo child is able to draw ( in fact, to figure the coordinates alone and code a little program to draw the lines ) something in Cavalier projection correctly. So seeing someone who went to university do some errors in a one vanishing point perspective scares me out.

Don't look at this thread in terms of what ZB has to offer us, because he's made it clear, time and time again that he has about as much to offer as a dead mole.

Instead, just take this thread for what it is - a primer in perspective. Should you want to learn more about perspective, check the FAQ. If you want to contribute, no one will stop you.

The point is, inmates need to stop focusing on ZB's constant idiocies and start focusing more on what this place is about.
