Quite a simple question, people: here is the result of validation for my main.css stylesheet: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=www.beyondwonderland.com%2F%3Ftopic%3D6%26yp%3D40%26xp%3D200&warning=1&profile=css2&usermedium=all And here is the stylesheet itself: http://www.beyondwonderland.com/main.css Now, I always propose a "font-family: verdana, arial;" Verdana is not a standard, I thought arial was.... ?? Ok, I got inline css declarations in my document, but the validator should rely only on the uri of the external stylesheet. But the above are only warnings... what really bothers me is the "border" error and the fact I don't get it. I reallyreally don't get it, I often use "border: 1px solid white;" and thought it was a valid way to declare it. If anybody knows what I am missing, thanks for sharing. I am trying to check other stylesheets that validate... slimeland.com has been one of my guinea pigs for instance, for I know Slime cares about standards. of course, www.zeldman.com was another guinea pig: zeldman validates with things that are considered mistakes on Slime's stylesheets (#fff three hex digits colors). ...and of course, he uses "border: 1px solid #fff;"... EEEEEK! I am now trying to redeclare my classes using #classname instead of .classname. And if it doesn't work, I'll eat my keyboard. Without salt.
