Good news everyone,
I finally had a spare sunday, and worked on the grail a bit.

This is just a short resume for y'all what noticably changed (see ->grailTodo, under 'done' for everything I did)

  • cells are now patient files (please contact a Mad Scientist of your choice if you want to have your ->linkword reassigned from your patient file to your cell in the faq)
  • [ img=your alt text]url[/img] tag has been added (for your sigs).
  • added a 'jump to bottom' link at the top of paginated pages.
  • added double post prevention.
  • all times are swedish times again.
  • MS can remove threads from the sink!
  • MS can review and restore deleted threads and faqs from the adminLog
  • www.ozoneasylum.com - urls starting with www are now being parsed again, as they were in the old asylum.
  • alt="decoration" now is alt="" everywhere.
  • copy to clipboard is off by default, and stores it's last setting.

So long,

Well done. Does the double post prevention also work for the double threads ? Or you did a MadSci joke
I thought Sweden time also had a daylight time period, but it seems not since the times look now like in France ( GMT+1 + 1 extra hour for the daylight time now ).

uh... indeed, the double post prevention does not work for threads, as I learned 'the hard' way.

If I remember correctly, sweden has the same timezone as germany.
http://www.worldtimezone.com/ agrees with me.

I'm stupid or the world is getting smaller every day. I thought Sweden was in GMT+2

[edit] DL-44: In the old Asylum the time was set to Swedish time, but when the new Asylum came out the time was mysteriously set to Pacific Time. [/edit]

Fantastic. I particularly love the alt text for images - great stuff there.

Nice work all around.

I'm curious what the times were before, and why they needed to be switched to swedish time?

great. changes are appreciated

one question though. i noticed the "Jump to bottom" works for 1st page of a long thread, but it doesn't go to the last post, only to the bottom of that page and there is no "Jump to bottom" on pages showing the whole long thread.

indeed - it jumps to the bottom of the page, so that you can more easily reach the page navigation, or the post reply box (though you could hit 'post reply', then).
That's why it's not being displayed on 'all at once' pages.

On the issue of time zones: why not just use GMT? You know, make it standard, since we have inmates all around the world...

TP, the cookie that gets set when i click for display-full-thread carries into other threads so that 1) if it's a long thread, the first post on the page appears and 2) if i want to see the last postings of a very long thread, i still have to scroll down to the bottom of the page. yes, i could hit the date and see the bottom of the page, but must i guess at which threads are long? (yes, some are obvious, but not all)

could you not just add this to the to-do-list? to add the jump-to-bottom to all pages? or at least leave it on when the cookie is set to display full threads?

I'll think about it.
