I had a small concern... about these div/ layer tags.

Well the way i have my webpage setup, it is centre aligned. And on the left side of my table, i placed a div/ layer tag in there. To act as a news component, where users can get latest updates.

But that is not the concern, the thing is i put the settings for users at 800x600. Now if i increase my resolution, the div tag bounces to the side horizontally. And i dont want that. Is there any alternitives or a way to fix the prob.

I know why it does it......i just can't align the webpage to the left. so any suggestions ppl...........

Just so id mention. In that div tag, ive got a php include that links to a file. But when i print my webpage, the info in that div tag. Prints on top of my webpage. Can that be fixed as well.....

Well.....for starters......there's no such thing as a "div/layer tag".

Is it a <div>? Or is it a <layer>?

Can it be fixed? Certainly. But it depends on a whole lot of variables. We need to see the page and understand a lot mroe before we can even guess at what the specific problem is.

One part of the problem is that you're using tables for layout - bad way to start. Another problem is in thinking that there needs to be a table cell with a div inside it - doubling up and nesting elements is always a bd thing when it can be avoided.
