ok Complete novices here. My son and I built this site for Al as a hobby project, and to encourage him to pursue creative and technical learning/experience. He is 14 and has no training at all, I am too old to know anything about it. We are self taught strictly by trial and error, too impatient to even read a tutorial, mostly copy and pasted basic html code from sites we liked (to make mouseovers, for example) to try to make it work, have no idea what all those symbol things mean in the code (like all the < and > and &g/; or whatever) and have no illusion about competing with real site designers. I only know about this site because I met drozone once a long time ago, then years later read an article about him and looked up the site. I know the site is clunky, no fancy code or java or flash or whatever (I don't even know what dhtml is), and it's probably sloppy in there. But it is original, built from scratch, the animations, pics, graphics, content, layout... is all done by us from scratch. And I know it's BIG and graphic heavy, but that is on purpose, remember, we're aiming at a particular demographic. http://www.alscustomcycle.com I understand most of you take this art/profession very seriously, and I respect that.(especially after how long it took to do this) so... with that in mind, I want to know what your first, and overall impression is... of the design, the look, the concept, the layout/navigation... etc. We are open to any and all feedback and suggestions, but I'm sure most of them will be way over our heads, and we probably won't have the know-how or ability to do much else. And before the critique begins, we are very proud of our project. (remember when you first started?) By the way, if drozone reads this, hello. So tell us what you think, and how we (he) can grow. Thanks for your attention. psychologist pete
