Hey Pete, first off all a warning, i could be a bit harsh but i will not be cruel ok? When you read some harsh comments don't be mad. Just think about the things you could improve and be more creative. For someone who doesn't know what < an what > are i think you did well. I could see a creative mind behind the site. But remember even if you are talented it does not mean you could play the piano. If you want to stimulate creativity take some time to learn. It will pay-off. You could find a lot of info on www.w3schools.com For a good introduction start here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_intro.asp Just play with it. It is not that hard. For learning just use notepad to make the site. It's fast and easy (there is not much in it to get lost with ;)) When you feel comfortable with html move over to an good editor and learn more. Now about the site try to change the buttons make them smaller (50 to 75% of current size) remove the the highlite/shadow borders. They are realy outdated. Just make the buttons flat so they blend in with the background more. I would loose the double "Sign Al's guestbook" button. Make it the same as the others, or loose it completely. Also i saw some double navigation on the first(home)page. Combine them to one. And remove the snow effect from the engines backround. Furthermore i would remove the big button on the front page. It's ugly ;) I did like the history from al these engine types. You could keep those as text on the front page, but they should not atached to whatever navigation system you use on the site. Just make it an informal text with some pictures. Keep on going the good work.
