UBB Help
Phew, I finally found the motivation to make the 3rd version of 256B.com. The pages are in valid XHTML1.0 + CSS2.0 and ~3 times smaller than the previous ( table based ) design. Honestly I haven't spent many time trying to hack the CSS for IE, and I prefer to leave it as is ( I've suffered enough in the past from all the bugs and design flaws of that browser to take a little and stupid revenge ). The only interesting details are the fact that I use the pathinfo to get some clean URLs for the demo and donwload pages, and that the complete archive is generated dynamically thanks to a small class ( originally made by John Coggeshall for http://www.zend.com/zend/spotlight/creating-zip-files1.php ) I have "optimized" Now, I plan to make a moderated Articles section to provide some information on assembly coding and size optimization. For their formatting I think I'll make something like Textile and allow the upload of various ressources such as images, sources codes, archives ... I think the new design is ok for the audience ( made @ 99.9% of demosceners ), but I may consider to alter the color scheme and/or touch a bit the markup to fix some missing or badly used attributes. Thanks in advance for the feedback.
