I tried to edit a post I did yesterday (in this Showing Cookies With PHP), but I got a message saying that the post was too old to be edited. Disabling editing for posts that are a couple of weeks old might be a good idea, but I think I should be able to edit posts I did less than 24 hours ago... |

As i recall correct this had been done since to prevent people to edit away their posts in an heated discussion. |

I believe the thinking behind it is that the window is open to correct typos and broken links but if you have other things to add you can just add another reply and it avoids all sorts of nonsense with people changing their posts making the whole discussion non-sensical (if it wasn't there already, of course). |

the time limit for editing posts is 4 hours now - more than enough to fixing links. |
