I'll think about how best to keep it stationary. My first inclination is to make the center content overflow:auto and just have that scroll but what I hate about that is not being able to customize the scroll bar appearance to blend into the page. I don't want to lose those interesting bits. I definitely did NOT want a perspective look and I was hoping the different colors would prevent that. But I think you're right about that is what will be seen. Hmm.... The reason I have the different border sizes is to get the same diagonal slope as is seen in the background image. If I go to equal sizes that will result in a 45 degree angle which will probably clash with the background slant. Thanks for the feedback, it's just the sort of realignment I was hoping for.
